At Riverside Motel you can relax amidst the spaciousness and cleanliness of comfortable units in the quiet and tranquil setting on the Whanganui riverbank and yet remain within close proximity to the central city, as well as sporting and cultural facilities.

 

Riverside Motel is a family run business and we find our friendly reputation easy to maintain, simply because we all enjoy people, as do our well-known cats and small dogs.

Check in time is generally 2:00pm and checkout is 10:00am, but we do manage to remain flexible in these respects by arrangement.We have a strict non-smoking policy within the units but areas are set aside for smokers outside. We... can offer a transit service to and from the Airport,etc.

Just across the road is the new Riverbank Walkway which links to other walks around the bridges, etc, and a 10 minute walk in a downstream direction leads to the Historic Riverboat Museum, Tramshed, well-known Saturday Market, UCOL, iSite and the 'Old Town Wanganui' area of the city centre.

Our mixture of two and one bedroom units and studios have a variety of sleeping configurations which cater from the single person to family and sporting groups. All units have full cooking facilities, ensuite bathrooms, sky TV and off street parking at the door.

At reception 'business centre' sevices are provided and baby gear, such as cot, bedding, high-chair and baby bath can be requested. We even offer a baby-sitting service by arrangement.
